My Holding of Gender

Consciousness is without gender.  

When we strip away the meaning making and assessment of experience, when we remove all the filters of “How am I being seen?” and attachments to identity (“I’m this kind of person.  I fulfill this role and do these things in the world.”) then what’s left? 

The pure presence of consciousness peering out of this human meat suit has no concern for gender or any other identity (feminist, queer, POC, trans,  American, Republican).  No care at all.  Those are all constructs of culture, ego, relational dynamic, or geographical border. 

Do people in those identities have vastly different life experiences that have informed them? Yes!  Absolutely.  All that very real material of circumstance and personality can be carefully and consciously identified and is still different from the present and equanimous essence of consciousness.

My focus is on Awakening. Developing honesty, authenticity, and the full embrace of ourselves is a HUGE amount of material to move through. I don't expect anyone contacting me to have already made such peace with themselves.

I have separate pages for work with “men” and “women” in order to acknowledge the different social expectations beset on different bodies.  I struggled with the binary presentation, but the thing with all my work of non-duality is that integration begins with making the spectrum conscious and leaning into the fullness of the polarities.  Only then can one let go of the illusion of the binary and the restrictions it imposes.  The wording of Masculine/Feminine (referring to the Divine expression when capitalized) and Alpha/Omega (similar to M/F, this language was developed by Justin Patrick Pierce and Londin Angel Winters) serve to address polarities well beyond stereotype and include the wholeness of human expression.  From A to Z on the scale, there is no hierarchy.  The same way our daily cycle is encompassed by Night/Day and the river and the riverbed are nothing without each other. 

​Part of the Awakening is absolutely going to be in loosening the identification of gender.  All of this work is about liberation, which includes recognizing and releasing the current definitions you personally hold that cause the pursuits and avoidances in your expression.  You can't truly liberate from a system from inside the system.

The Soul-mate Within work, as developed by Dr Shakti Malan, is the most direct path I’ve ever heard of to incorporating the strongest and most loving relationship available with one’s totality.  And her polarity integration work combined with Justin and Londin’s Alpha/Omega work in sexual polarity are an incredibly liberating combination.
